We’ve gathered the questions we get asked most often by homeowners and businesses—so you can find the answers quickly and confidently.
While you can handle basic maintenance—like cleaning or gently vacuuming the filters—most servicing tasks require a qualified engineer.
Modern systems are sealed and involve refrigerants, electrical components, and safety checks that only certified F-Gas engineers can legally handle.
Attempting more than simple cleaning yourself risks invalidating your warranty or causing long-term damage.
There are several possible reasons:
A qualified technician will usually start with a temperature and pressure test, then inspect pipework and electrics. Something as simple as a blocked filter can be fixed on the spot, while leaks may require a regas and recommissioning.
Signs your unit may be running low include:
Unlike fuel, refrigerant doesn’t get “used up”—if it’s low, it’s likely leaking. An engineer will pressure test with nitrogen, repair the fault, then vacuum and recharge the system to safe levels. This process is legally controlled under F-Gas regulations.
Repairs vary depending on the issue:
We provide fast, reliable air conditioning repairs in Coventry, with most domestic breakdowns resolved during the first visit.
Every job comes with a clear timeline and an honest, upfront price before work starts.
Look out for these warning signs:
Catching problems early usually means cheaper repairs and less downtime.
If in doubt, book an inspection—our engineers can often diagnose issues remotely via photos or video call before attending.
A Zortech service is a full inspection designed to keep your unit efficient, safe, and compliant. A typical service includes:
This process ensures your unit is safe, efficient, and long-lasting. If any remedial work or parts are required, you’ll always be given a quote first—no hidden costs.
